Sarasota Youth Sailing celebrates SAILFEST'S 36TH ANNIVERSARY!

Sarasota Youth Sailing’s historic SAILFEST regatta draws 250+ participating sailors and their families from throughout the region to race Optimist, ILCA, and 420 courses off the shore of the Sarasota Sailing Squadron and Ken Thompson Park. Happening the weekend of April 1-2, SAILFEST will be filled with family fun, vendors, coffee and ice cream, and a delicious seafood cookout with Walt’s Fish Market Saturday night. We can’t wait to see you there! This April, the regatta is turning thirty five! Everyone is so excited to be celebrating over three decades together as we work hard every year to deliver a fun and successful annual fundraising regatta to support our youth sailors. SAILFEST funds go directly to our nonprofit youth sailing organization so that we may continue to provide excellent programming for kids ages 5-18 in our community and set them up for the success they deserve.

SAILFEST funds go directly to our 501c3 nonprofit youth sailing organization so that we may continue to provide excellent programming for kids ages 5-18 in our community and set them up for the success they deserve. We would not be able to do any of this without the support and generosity of our community during SAILFEST every year.

In addition to year round racing and summer sailing, Sarasota Youth Sailing works hard to build a robust scholarship fund to make sailing available to everyone, and also provides outreach programs to schools, youth on the spectrum, and of course families in our underserved community organizations. The thoughtful support of our donors make all of this possible. If you are interested in helping our youth program have a successful fundraiser this year, sponsorships come in a variety of tiers.

Join our crew! Any donation up to $250 is considered a “Crew” level sponsorship, and every size of donation large or small helps our program supply items in need from sail ties to scholarships.
