About Multihull Racing
All sailors interested in being on the Multihull team must fill out the required MH application, and adhere to the race team expectations for practice attendance and volunteer hours. MH race team participants must also be active in another race team at SYS (Lasers, 420s or High School).
All SYS participants and families are required to fulfill 8 volunteer hours, maintain current financial accounts, and adhere to SYS’s Code of Conduct and all Race Team policies and procedures as outlined in the Parent Handbook.
Multihull Developing Team will practice on Monday, 3:30-6:30/7:30 (depending on light). This team will be limited to four participants, and will practice apart from the multihull team with the option to be invited to practice with the team when an MH participant is unable to attend or forfeits position on the team. The rate for this MH Developing Team is $340.00 + $275.00 charter fee + $400 damage deposit. Team application is required.
Prerequisite:
prior sailing skills/experience, and Coach & Executive Director approval
Practice Times:
Thursdays: 4:00 pm-7:00pm
Sundays: 12:00-5:00 pm
Gear:
Team shirt, PFD with whistle, closed toe water shoes, hat, sunglasses, sunblock, and water clothes.
Cost:
$1460 + $285 boat charter + $400 refundable damage deposit. There will be a $60/day per sailor regatta fee for all regattas not at SYS.

Fall: August 22nd-December 12th
Spring: January 16th-May 8th
