SYS Assistant Director
Part-time/hourly
$22-25 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday-Thursday 2:30-6:00/7:30, Saturday 9-4
Minimum qualifications:
- US Sailing Level 2 Certified, with the ability to gain Level 3
- NASBLA for the State of Florida
- First Aid, CPR, AED, SafeSport Certified
- Able to pass a state of Florida Level 2 background check
- Current and valid driver’s License
- Sailing experience within a youth racing and community sailing program
- Previous coaching experience/team experience
- Experience working on and maintaining a fleet of small dinghy sailboats
- Experience planning regattas/being on race committee
- A good role model for youth
- Passionate about sailing, team player, hardworking
- Able to lift and move small sailboats on dollies
- Logistical and management experience
- Experience with budgets
- Strong communication skills, computer savvy, and professional demeanor
Job Description:
- Oversee SYS regatta calendar and management of regatta events
- Oversee coaching staff and SYS staffing needs
- Oversee maintenance logs for all SYS assets
- Work closely with SYS Fleets and Facilities board member
- Fill in for Executive Director when needed
- Attendance at SYS practices and regattas
- Some traveling required
- Work closely with the Executive Director
- Assist with coaching as needed
